Chances at getting into SDSU

3.32 weighted gpa
3.17 unweighted gpa
1440 on old Sat but 1030 without writing

I am taking the act on sept 13th, but what are my chances as of now?

Probably not. But, you should apply anyhow.

All CSUs use the same basic formula to evaluate applicants, they combine your 10-11 academic GPA and test scores to create an Eligibiltty Index. You can read about it here:

http://www.csumentor.edu/planning/high_school/elig_index_calculator.asp

Assuming your CSU GPA is in the 3.3 range, yours is 3670. SDSU is looking for around 4100. Even a 1450/1600 SAT or near perfect ACT would leave you a little short.

Not sure what you want to study but, you are on the bubble for most programs at Fullerton, Chico and Northridge. You are well qualified for most programs at SJSU, Sonoma, Sac, San Marcos (as well as the non-impacted campuses).

In addition to SDSU, pick 4 of the others listed above and apply there too.

@maryland17 what other schools are you interested in?

My CSU gpa is 3.41

SDSU attracts highly qualified students each year. For fall 2015 admitted freshmen, the averages were:
3.83 high school CSU GPA
26 ACT (not including writing)
1169 SAT reasoning (critical reading and math)

You have below average stats but if SDSU is a top choice, apply and see what happens. Just make sure you have several solid Match and safety schools on your list.
