Hi, so I recently applied to Tulane University, one day before the November 15th early action deadline. I applied Single choice early action. I love the school and have been to visit over the summer. I am quite worried about my chances of getting in due to my ACT score. I have a composite of a 27 with a 31 in English, 26 in math, 27 in reading, and 25 in science. For my extracurriculars, I am doing an internship with Johns Hopkins medical center and working on a research project. I mentioned this in my resume. I also volunteer to teach kids tennis and volunteer for a tutoring program. I do other SPCA volunteering and secret santa work shops for children. I have played tennis every year of high school and also swam, ran, and played volleyball. I did a sport every season of my high school except for my senior year fall season. I believe my recommendations were good and I submitted one from a teacher and the required guidance councilor. I spent a lot of time on my “why tulane” optional essay and I think I wrote a powerful common app essay. My weighed GPA is a 4.39. I am also in the International Baccalaureate program at my school and I have a full schedule. I have gotten mostly As with a few Bs. A girl from my school has already been accepted. Does this lower my chances of acceptance? With my ACT score, will applying SCEA help me? I just hope I did not waste a chance to apply to other schools early, although Tulane is my dream school and my top choice. Thanks!
Are you full pay?
I am not sure… I think I would but where would I tell them that? I would prefer to get financial aid if possible but if I could get in that would be great. @ClarinetDad16
