Chances at Haas for non California residents

Is it that much harder if you are not from California?

I'm from UW Madison
GPA: 3.82 and hopefully 3.88 after fall
ACT: 31 SAT 2: 790 Math, 770 Chem

Haas has specific transfer course requirements. I was looking at the statistics and out of 1314 transfer applicants, only 443 applications were eligible!

I think admission to Haas is as competitive for CA residents as it is for OOS.

<a href="http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/Undergrad/applying.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/Undergrad/applying.html</a></p>

7.3% transfer admission rate, ouch

well no, its actually 21.6%... not a bad chance if you meet all of the requirements and have a high 3.8 gpa...

Out of state is tougher than that, though--or else they just don't get the number of OOS applications one would expect.

They didn't give the numbers this year, but last year when they put out the numbers that showed how many applicants from OOS schools got in, the answer was exactly one person got in. And that person's GPA was 3.916. (Note I'm referring to transfer applicants only)

Wow. I think I have all the course requirements, but I don't think I want to apply to Haas anymore. You think I'll have a better chance at Stern?
