"ur numbers are low"

I almost laughed when I saw that...what a colorless comment!

I still think you should apply to everything except Harvard and Stanford. Unless you retake the SAT and get a higher score.

My New Smilie Grading System:
:( :Reach
:l :Moderate Reach/ Low match
:/ : Match
:) : Safety
O.o? : Cannot not understand data

i'd say reach/big reach to all of the places besides northwestern (match/slight reach) and chicago (slight reach).

if you like new york, look up nyu. emory, tufts, george washington would all be matches. and washu would probably be a slight reach for you (i know a girl with a 4.0, a +2300 sat, amazing EC's and an amazing writer who didn't get in...).

SAT I low.

e/cs mediocre.

if youre applying regular everywhere, it's very unlikely

i'd choose some good safeties if iwere you.

Emory and Tufts would be reaches as well.

id suggest sending a crecording of ur piano playing...asian pianist is not impressive unless you have proof that you above and beyond your typical asian piano thumper.

I play violin and im chinese...once again, not impressive, but I take it seriously and I enjoy it immensely unlike so many others who play and it shows through ym playing...so i made a recording and sent it.

I think the OP has an excellent shot at Tufts. I have an Asian friend who had scores less impressive and was admitted there. This same friend was waitlisted at BC and is now trying to transfer out of Tufts.

is washu really hard to get into? becase the rankings all put it as a very good school, but it doesn't seem that difficult to get into (compared to like ivies).

would i have a chance? (especially since i haven't shown any interest in them, basically)

Not a great one. You do have some safeties I hope. Your list is unrealistic and it's better to deal with that now than in April. There are lots of good schools you can get into, but this will be the hardest year ever to get into college so really don't count on getting into any where your SATs are below the average.

A "slackerish" 750 in Math is MUCH better than a 600 in Spanish!!

Harvard--reach
Stanford--reach
brown--reach
Columbia--reach
UCLA--high match/low reach
Berk--low reach
northwestern--low reach
uchicago--low reach

bump up scores

bump please

still a bump
