CHANCES AT HARVARD UNIVERSITY (thats rite, THE harvard U.)

i'd say reach/slight reach just because harvard is a reach for everyone, unless you're insane. it's a crapshoot. but stuff like volunteering at the hospital is dimes a dozen and won't help much anyways.

haha good chance! but not guaranteed! let me know if they reject you, I'll call them myself and ask why!

lol sounds like ur rooting for me to get rejected?

but either way, i wont be totally crushed. i love other schools just as much, like duke, stanford, and even UMich haha

so i think i'll be happy no matter wat

anything but Duke please! I hate them with a passion

I think you have a slight chance, better than most.

should have said you were Mexican!!!

That is such a stupid mistake for a smart kid.

Hopefully race will play in your favor.

the thing is,colleges look at the graduating class before you. If your school always producess Ivies, you will be more likely to get accepted into a ivy because of like school reputation.

honestly no one can be sure that they will get into harvard. Look into it and also look into like a safety school like CMU or something.

I have a thought...

... you don't need to bold or CAPITALIZE words so that we can see them. =)

you kinda should be more one sided because colleges would rather pick some one that’s amazing at one thing than pick someone thats good at everyone

This thread is very old.

I think that you’re stats are good, but you’re Ecs are a tad weak, and you essays/recs don’t sound as strong as they possibly can. URM should help, though; I say you are a bubble applicant and I wish you the best of luck! :)

Chance back:

personally i think there are THOUSANDS of applicants that Harvard receives that have identical stats. Somebody that I know had a perfect SAT score and still didn’t get in. However, if you find that “hook” or something that separates you from the others, you should be a strong candidate.

chance me back?
