Does anyone know what the chances are of a Hispanic with a 2400 on the SAT (non legacy, first time generation).
PS: yeah, i know “correlation does not equal causation” but I just wanna know. At least an estimate…

A lot of factors go into an acceptance at Harvard. They look at everything with a holistic approach; so SAT is not the end all, be all. If your GPA, as well as ECs are also top-notch, then of course you will be considered a qualified student for admission, however, no one can give you a cut-throat answer. Getting into Harvard is difficult, and we can’t deny that.
On another note, your ethnicity does give you an “advantage” of sorts, especially so with a perfect SAT score.
You’re gonna ask people to guess on something that’s unknowable. What will you do with those guesses?
Without reading this applicant’s folder, no one even associated with Harvard admissions could hazard a guess. If anything, you can say it’s better than 6%. That’s about all one can say.
A first generation Hispanic with a 2400 SAT is a great start. Nothing there will hurt your chances. The rest depends on all the other things that go in to getting admitted at top schools.
