Chances at Hopkins. Cornell, Harvard, Princeton

sigh........

princeton =/...idk...just apply to some safeties to be safe =D gl! lazeardreamin =D

Uh, I think you'll need to start taking whatever your counselor says with a grain of salt. Nothing is a lock, especially with HYP. I'd DEFINATELY apply to the schools that Jimmy mentioned. Unless of course, there's something you're not telling us. Your dad isn't Princeton's president is he?

No, Shirley Tilghman is not my dad, or mother for that matter.

After re-reading this, I think this kid is making this **** up.

No college counselor, regardless of how dumb he/she may be, would tell any student that Princeton is a lock. As Karot said, the only way Princeton would be a lock is if your parent was the president, or the dean of admissions

"1 in 3, darn it. If they do get all that much more selective with RD, they'd have to be insanely unselective with ED/EA to have that acceptance rate."

I think they accept about 60% ED.

Where be thar numbers? Because I'm almost certainly enrolling ED next year, and boy, would I be happy if that was true!

I just wanted to thank everyone for their advice. Because of your advice I've decided not to apply to Johns Hopkins this year. I think I'm just going to finish out my second semester here at JHU and hope for the best, because, like ive heard so many times on this thread, I have no chance of getting into hopkins, or as karot put it a 2 out of 10 chance, or a reach at best. Well thanks for the advice guys!

-lazeardreamin'

P.S. Just to set the record straight, Hopkins IS much more academically competitive than the "HYP trifecta" "darnit"!

Whoa... that is crazy. So you got into Hopkins with those numbers huh? It must mean that no one here knows what they are talking about! See ya after the winter break.

I odnt see you geting into any - sorry - and for the person who said harvard is a saftey - you are retarted!

lazear i'm kind of confused on what you are trying to get accross...second semester?

Yeah, I am a bit confused myself. Are you saying you are already a student at Hopkins and just proving a point by showing how little merit people are speaking with here?

Schweet, I got my name mentioned! Eat that all you non-mentioned people.
