Chances at HYPS, Johns Hopkins, etc.?

Ok, so I'm not asking this about myself, but a family friend has a son who has some interesting credentials. He is a rising junior this year. I don't know his exact UW or W GPA, but he got all As freshman year, got 3 Bs and 3 As sophomore year (while battling leukemia, which he has now recovered from, Thank God). He is taking 6 APs this year, although I'm not sure what the exact classes are. I don't know much about his ECs, but I assume they are at least decent, and having leukemia and still being able to put up those kind of grades and be ranked 7th overall in his entire school district is something extremely impressive to me. Right now he is mainly looking at our state school, UW-Madison, with a career goal of being a doctor and working towards curing cancer. While UW-Madison is no doubt a great college, when I heard all that he was doing I thought that he could probably do even better and should look at the Ivies. He's a great kid. Also he is Mexican and (might) be first generation. I know his dad did not go to college, his mom (they are divorced) I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't go either. I don't think he's taken the ACT or SAT yet, but I know that all his middle school/other state standardized test scores were through the roof, so I would expect him to at least get >2200 and >33 if not even higher. Anyway sorry for rambling on, but any thoughts?

Bump. Anyone?

Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford.

Feel free to offer chances to other Ivies, top tier colleges, good pre-med schools as well.
