Chances at ivies as a transfer with bad hs gpa

When I say bad high school gpa, I mean in the 2.3 range.

Even if I get perfect college grades and have outstanding ECs, will my chances still be ruined from my high school years?

From a university by the way, not a community college

Probably. Most transfers to ivies come from similar institutions, and nearly all were admitted/very competitive for admission in the freshmen round.

What is an even better question is that do you think you can make it at an ivy league school? Why did you have a 2.3 GPA? Maybe an ivy league isn’t the right school for you.

I really don’t have a good reason for having a low GPA but I can explain a bit why I decided to turn it around. I know I can handle an ivy league school because it seems like the challenge that I’ve been looking for and it’s almost the only choice if I want to go into investment banking
