Chances at Ivy League

Im a sophomore and in my freshman year, I had to take CTP(college tech prep) which is in-between standard and honors classes because I applied to the school too late and the honors were all full. My GPA at the end of freshmen year was a 3.327

Now at the end of quarter 1 of my sophomore year, I am in all honors and now currently have a 3.376 GPA. My question is that if I keep getting straight a's for the rest of my high school career, can I still possibly be accepted to an Ivy? I am an honors student and am completely capable of acing honors classes, but the I feel that the CTP classes from freshmen year will constantly bring me down and prevent me from reaching my true potential. I also take part of the ski team and tennis team and plan to join more clubs including yearbook in my junior year. Please let me know of any tip/advice you may have. Thanks

If you are capable of acing all your honors classes, why didn’t you do that with your CTP classes?

My advice for most people is to study hard, and pursue what you are passionate about. Everything else will fall into place, even if it means ending up somewhere you weren’t expecting to.

Keep your grades up and hope for the best. That’s essentially the only thing that anyone can tell you. Everything else is speculation.

Thanks
