chances at ivy

junior transfer. what are my chances at Cornell, Penn, Brown, Columbia, Harvard?

Current school: Top 25 national university
GPA: 3.67 overall
1st semester: 3.3 (C in calculus, B in bio)
2nd semester: 4.0
3rd semester: 3.7 (C in orgo)

College Prep High School in Northeast
High School GPA: 3.6

SAT :1400/1600
SAT II: M IIC 740, V 660, Bio 650

Whats your major?

bio...i also have a few extracurriculars but nothing major. thanks!

You have a chance at all schools, but you should explain the Cs.

Let me guess, you are applying from either Georgetown, UVA, UMich, Berkeley or CMU.

wow...great guess. indeed, i am from one of those schools. but do you think the C will affect my chances?

Lol he only listed the schools from 21-25 so one of them ought to be your school :P

Yup, and had he said "top twenty," I would have "guessed" another five schools. Same for top 15, top 10, and top 5.

wow, pure genius

Why are you unhappy at your school anyway?

So your cGPA is 3.67?
and with 1400 (you said 740M, 660V?) breakdown is confusing.
but from what you have said.... i don't see anything too special...
And also.... you are a bio major, yet you have C in calc? B in bio and C in orgo? should science and math be your strongest?
I think your stats are just okay, and that you should apply.
I hope you have something special up your sleeves.
Best of Luck

You'll never know unless you try, right? Good luck!
But as Mark asked, why would you want to leave one of those schools anyway?
