Transfer Chances

Dear posters,
Back in high school I hoped for a chance at the Ivy League but my gpa and SATs were not where the needed to be. Since then I have found thatCornell is an amazing place to get an education: they have everything I want and need. Please chance me for junior transfer admission:

Current Sophmore at Florida Community college
GPA:4.0/ 18 credit an average per semester (taken 2 sciences every semster)

Income: Middle/Upper middle class
Major applying: Bio and Society CALS, Premed
SATs: not required

Extra Cirr:

Volunteer 700 hours St.Marys Trama center (college years only)- I volunteer A LOT!
Volunteer 100 hours Spanish immigrant center

High School:

High School GPA: 3.8UW
AP Stat(3), Macro(4), Micro(4), English(4), Bio(4)
Christian private school
Rank 4/60
Varsity Basketball and Volleyball

I have my aunt who is an English prof proofreading my essay, so should be pretty good. It's about comparing and contrasting myself with Walt Whitman.

Looks good to me, I'd say you have pretty decent chances. Make sure you note how the bSoc major fits you, as the contract colleges are big on fit.

The essay will be very important. Since the major is offerened in CALS, CAS and HumEc, they will want to know why you wish to study Biology and Society in CALS instead of CAS or HumEc.
