<p>I am a rising senior and I was wondering what kind of shot I have at getting into some Ivy's. Some facts about me are:
caucasian
single family home $80K income
33 ACT
29 English (Should I retake to raise?)
34 Math
31 Reading
36 Science
4.0 unweighted GPA (School does not do weighted)
Public high school in top 100 in country
School does not do class %
Have or will have taken 7 AP classes and 9 AP tests
have taken 4 other college level classes
Have taken all honors classes if offered
250+ hours of community service
Varsity football (includes lift 3 times a week and practice once a week in off season)
Varsity club, engineering club, junior statesmen of america, and national honors society
worked summer of junior and senior year</p>
<p>My top ivy choices would be harvard, brown, and upenn. I would want to study math and/or international relations. First of all what are my chances of any of these schools? How about other ivy's (exept Cornell, great school but too close to home)? What else should I be doing to help my chances?

<p>What exactly is the junior statesmen of america? What did you get on your AP tests? I would say EC’s are shaky to get into H, B, U. I would say try to see if you can focus on developing a huge EC. Pretty good ACT and great GPA!</p>
<p>Junior statesmen of america is a political debate club. I would agree with you on the EC’s and will probibly be doing more this summer and fall. A lot of my community service aare from different groups of extra curriculars. Have a 5 on AP Euro, AP Chem and AP US should come in this week and the rest I will be taking senior year. Do you think that the 29 in english for the act will hurt? Is it worth retaking? Thanks for your response it really helped.</p>
<p>I would redo the ACT, yes. English/Writing is accounted for very highly in colleges. The Ivies are very difficult for everyone and I would make sure you have matches as well as safeties. What is your list for matches and safeties?</p>
<p>RPI, Michigan, Delaware, American, and Binghamton are in contention for match and saftey. Also how do you think boston college and georgetown would be for me?
