Bump, por favor. Munkeegirl~ did you actually say something there?, because I can't translate it to anythin except "Mapor pr"

major plz.

Major: mechanical engineering, physics or math :) I havent decided yet. Then I might also consider a dbl major with a humanity of some sort. your m4d 1337 5k1||z pwn mine lol.

Also~ when I say physics, astrophysics and cosmology are especially cool so if you can think of any schools that are strong in either of those that would be cool to

More Colleges would be cool too. I like Cali and New England. Any advice?

Tears...CC hates me :( (and yes my last 5 or so posts have essentially been bumps)

Okay, this will be my last bump for 3 days :( please respond! thanks.

B-u-m-p-!--p-l-e-a-s-e--h-e-l-p--m-e--i--am--stressed--a-b-o-u-t--g-e-t-t-i-n-g--i-n-t-o--c-o-l-l-e-g-e-!

Should I eliminate any colleges from my list? What would be some good matches for me?

Bump again. Please. I'll stop bumping if just a couple people reply! It's discouraging that everytime that I come on I have to bump b/c there are no new replies :(

Math major? You might need a higher AMC & AIME score...

Harvey Mudd isn't too hard to get into...if you're SoCal (Orange Lutheran?), consider taking classes there next year ($100 per semester)

Hallelujah! THanks sooo much for replying tanonev. Math was my last choice for a major, but I put it down just because my math profs told me that it would be a good idea to major in it, because I was doing better work than the math majors in my class :) lol. Thanks SOOO much again for replying!!!!!

You are planning to do a research project next year, right? That always helps, even if you don't get any award for it

Oh yes, I will probably get blasted for this, but why not...

Leet is for people who want recognition in the computer community but don't actually know any programming...DON'T do it if you're applying to a tech school...they want to see you handle real computer languages, not leet...

while (true);

lol, your statement is totally true. I know, I'm not really a CS guy, although I can program in some languages (on a good day.) In general I just talk in 1337 b/c i think that its really funny. Thanks again tanonev

it takes a LOT in order to get into your top choices

right now you're doing good, but from what i see, you don't really stand out
you do well in what you do, but it's not .... really standing out

however, essays may help you out. good luck, and try to get some amazing recs.. not to mention, write amazing essays

i forgot what schools u had after the first two, so i'm only talking about the first two

for MIT i think you have a decent chance, actually
however, olin.. idk. that's mad selective, lol

see the Nim post I made...it's a Math/CS problem...if you can crack it, write a report on it and you will stand out

Warning: this problem looks suspiciously like an NP-Complete one, though I can't prove it...

Wow~ Thanks for both of your replies!

You would likely be a good candidate for merit aid at Case - they have physics, astronomy and various types of engineering.

If you visit UChicago, visit Northwestern too - as it offers engineering.

Thanks ohio_mom! I'll look into Northwestern and Case.
