Chances at ND

Irish
You seem to have misunderstood my comment. I was explaining to the poster why you and I might have a different view of EA. That's all.

By the way, I recall how crushed you were when you were rejected EA, and I'm sure that memory still hurts. I felt sorry for you then, and was very glad to see you succeed in getting into ND as a transfer. Good luck to you.

I will PM you as well, but I am sorry Brigade. I overacted some just because I thought you were trying to question my motives or say that I am biased, which I don't think I am. I know I am cautious, but I do normally try to tell people that, as you know. I didn't here because I actually thought I was endorsing EA, but regardless, what you say makes sense.

I am sorry for the tirade, I just got going a bit there!

This really shouldn't even be an argument. I've visited ND quite a few times, and each time they have told us that only the students with stats well above the average should apply EA. For most colleges it is true that students will have an easier time being accepted EA, but we all know that Notre Dame is unique in many ways, and this is one of them.

Also, Irish was rejected EA, and rather than feel sorry for him because of that, we should learn from it, shouldn't we? If your stats are below average, regardless of minority or legacy status, you should apply regular admissions to to be sure. I know I wouldn't even consider applying EA...

lol, we shouldn't feel sorry for me anyways because in a year I will have a degree from the University of Notre Dame :). I definitely see your point though. Let's be honest with me though, I would have been turned down RD, really. I just didn't have strong enough credentials out of high school.

I am at the point now that I don't think that EA would hurt someone honestly, but just since ND does say that only the strong should apply EA, I still recommend that just because why do something they tell you not to, you know? If they told you to type your application would you hand write it?
