Chances at Northwestern, Michigan, UVA, UNC, and Notre Dame

Hello,
I’m a high-school senior who is very nervous and anxious to hear back from some of my top schools, and I was wondering what my chances are at Northwestern (ED), Michigan (EA), UVA (EA), UNC (in-state and EA), and Notre Dame (regular).

About me:
GPA: 4.2 weighted, 3.87 unweighted

SAT: 2140 (770 writing, 710 reading, 660 math)

Class rank: Top 25% in a very competitive college prep school

Sophomore and Junior AP’s: World History (5), Macro (5), Micro (5), US History (5)

Senior Courses (1st semester grades): Statistics (A)), Literature (A), Government & Politics (A+), and AP Psychology (A+), Spanish VI Advanced (A-)

SAT II’s: World History (630), US History (720)

Extracurriculars: editor-in-chief of high-school newspaper, senior-class officer, SOS project-leader, varsity baseball (11,12), national honor society

Academic Interests: Business/economics

Thanks for your input!

Also, I have double-legacy at U of M.

You’ve submitted at least 3 “early” applications.
So, soon enough you’ll be getting the only answers that count.

If you did not also apply to at least one admission and financial safety,
then there should be time to do that (if necessary) after the ED/EA decisions roll in
(although by then you may have missed some merit scholarship deadlines.)

I would think you do have a good shot at UNC, and that it’s the school to beat for the best combination of cost and quality (unless you qualify for significant need-based aid at some of the others).
