I would love just an answer for these schools lol. I'm a Junior at a public school but I'm not sure how competitive it is on a national scale(ranked 600 I think).

URM
Cons: Straight A's this year(Junior) to pad my UW gpa due to 3 C's total in Biology honors and Algebra II honors.
Applying ED to either UPENN or Duke whichever I have a better shot at.
Thanks so much!

Thanks and of course!

UF: low match
UPenn: high reach
Cornell: Reach
NYU: match
Duke: reach

I have no idea what the guy above me was thinking.

@SternTurn Is Duke a reach with ED ordid you mean without

Upenn and Duke will always be a reach no matter what.

Alright thanks for the feedback! At least it isn’t a high reach.

I had higher UW GPA and SAT and was waitlisted at Penn, so I think that’s what you can reasonably expect.

What type of major are you interested in? Business, Engineering, or Arts and Sciences? Which school you are planning to attend at Penn or Cornell can make a big difference in difficulty. Also, what is your race and sex?

Those additional bits of information can help give a better quality answer.

PENN:Wharton/CAS(No decision yet)
Duke: Trinity
I was thinking of majoring in international affairs/relations on the pre law track. I know NYU offers one and so does UF.
Cornell: CAS
I am an african american male.
@Much2learn

Penn: Good chance, low reach
UF: match/safety
Cornell: Good chance as well, low reach
NYU: match for CAS
Duke: Good chance, low reach

@SternTurn Lol right! How could you make all those ivy leagues a match lol. Craziness

Wharton is definite high reach, even with your URM status. Good chance at the others though

Okay I’m pretty set on Duke ED Trinity. I just want t o know if it’s a good bet to try for ED even with 3 C’s freshman year. I made it up through sohpmore and especially this year so that my UW isn’t bad. Do you guys think I have a good enough shot for ED?

Yes, I think it is likely that you will be accepted at Duke or Penn CAS ED.

For Penn Wharton, I think you would need to demonstrate a clear interest in business, but you will still have a solid chance. It will also be important to write strong essays. Work on them well in advance and find a good proof reader.
