Chances at Princeton

Who the hell goes from geometry to calculus?

actually, you are a ORM, not a URM like you said, and that will bring down your chances slightly, but I still think, with your great ECs, that you have a great shot at Princeton.

Good shot everywhere. I’d say lower Ivies are a match, higher Ivies will be low-to-mid reaches.

Generally, only your final average is reported. Therefore, they wouldn’t know.

I don’t know about your school, but at mine you can get a C+ on the midterm and end up with an A- in the class (provided you got A’s on everything else).

Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/733467-chances-hyps-etc-will-chance-back.html#post1062774820

Yes…in fact, colleges maintain a constant watch on each prospective candidate. If you get a B on just one exam, colleges will blackmark you and you can forget about going to a good college, let alone a top 100 university. That’s not to say you have no options. Have you heard of DeVry?

@kameron yeah, I had solid A’s and hundreds on everything, but it came to the exam and i totally blanked out on one section cause I let my nerves get the best of me, so I left the section blank, and it was 1/5 of the questions.

@monstor haha to the first part and no to the second

Do not apply ED to a lower Ivy, because it prevents you from applying to the HYP level schools you should be applying to. If anything, apply SCEA to either Yale or Stanford, or EA to MIT and Caltech simultaneously.

your GPA could hurt you because most people who apply to Princeton are probablyh in top 5% but considering ECs you could probably get into all the Ivies except Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. It’s just that for those three schools almost everything has to be perfect and even then, it’s just luck. It’s really hard to get into HYP and GPA is probably the first thing that they look at. But write a great essay, and you can probably get into MIT, and one of HYP. Good Luck :)

Chance me as well…

hmm. don’t know about the C buddy. varsity swimming. lol.

Albert wu!!!

hm i found out today i got 800 on SAT II chem and physics. does that change anything?

10 chars 10 chars

Maybe if you apply to Columbia ED you won’t have to worry about Princeton. Sounds good? Cool.

I think you are pretty good but Princeton like every Ivy school is very unpredictable.
