Chances at Purdue University

I posted this thread in a different forum, but I didn’t get any responses.

Unweighted GPA (9-11): 3.71
SAT I: 1970 (630 CR, 630 M, 710 W)- probably not going to submit
ACT: 32 (going to retake in September, hoping for a 33+)

APs/Honors Taken (9-11):
*My school did not allow freshmen to take APs/Honors unless they were in accelerated math, or in an advanced world language class. As a result, I could not take a lot of APs/Honors until my junior year.

(10) Chemistry H
(11) Pre-Calculus H
(11) American Lit H
(11) AP Chemistry (waiting for AP test score)
(11) AP US History (waiting for AP test score)

I also am currently taking 2 online community college classes (humanities-related because the courses I wanted were not available), and my GPA does not account for them yet.

Senior Schedule (APs/Honors):
AP Calculus AB
AP Spanish Language/Culture
AP English Literature
AP Microeconomics
Physics H

Intended Major: Chemical Engineering (1st choice, haven’t thought of an alternate yet, but will most likely be something else in engineering)

A few questions:

  1. Does Purdue accept SAT 2 scores? I have heard yes and no from people I have asked.
  2. Does applying OOS affect my chances of admission?
  3. Is it true that the earlier you apply, the better your chances are? (I am wondering about this because Purdue has rolling admissions)

Purdue does not require SAT2 score. Your ACT is much better than SAT. It should be a match to high match for you.

Very likely to be admitted. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Apply early and you’re in!
