My chances to Purdue Engineering?

Out of state

UW GPA: 3.46
I don’t know my class rank

ACT superscore: 28
I will take the ACT again the coming September. My math and science score is above 30 however, the composite is a 28 because my reading comprehension score is horrendously low (low 20s). I will attempt to raise my reading score to at least above a 27 so my composite score will be above 30.

Course load before graduation:
5 APs
Already took AP Biology and got a 4 on the exam. The rest are AP Government, AP Calculus AB, AP Literature and AP German which is my senior schedule.
2 Honors: Geometry and Algebra 2 Honors

Extracurricular:
Varsity in Swimming and Diving (made it to top 5 in leagues)
Junior Varsity in Water Polo from freshmen year until sophmore year.
Officer in Political Club
Active member in the National Honor Society (although that is at stake because my GPA has dropped below a 3.5)

If I am missing any information in the criteria then ask and I will gladly add it.
Please give respectful but also absolute honest answers. I’d rather face the truth now and do something about it.

I forgot to add this. My high school is very rigorous and ranks #10 in our state. Will that be taken into consideration?
And 3 Honors not 2. AP Physics

I’d say you have a pretty good shot.

Purdue has a relatively high admission rate. Your GPA is a bit low while your ACT is right at the 25% of enrolled freshmen at Purdue this year (likely right below the 25% of the admission though). It should be a very high match for you. Try to bring your ACT to 30+ for a better chance.

top 25%? Also, will they consider my first semester senior GPA? This may sound unrealistic but I am planning to get a 4.00. I might have a chance because I’m only taking 4 classes rather than the regular 6 class schedule everyone has. All of them are APs though.

@euroforce When we say 25%, it is the bottom 25th percentile.
