Please Help Me!!!

i am a senior and i have no idea where i can get in with my stats. here they are:

-about 1320 on the sat (2010 on new one)
-captain of varsity sport for couple years
-involved in 2 varsity sports all 4 years
-200 miscellaneous volunteer hours
-top 20% at competitive private school
-founder and president of minority awareness club (though i am upper-middle class, non-URM)
-latin club
-several athletic meets with OK placement

i am looking at wake forest, cornell, JHU,
tufts, BC, emory, amherst, nyu, BU, and UTaustin

cornell, JHU, Tufts and Amherst are major reaches for you...

Emory, NYU, etc. are reaches for you also.

Find some matches and safeties.

I think NYU and UT could be matches. My friend got into NYU with a 1280, although she applied ED. Basically, write good essays, do well on the subject tests, and get good recs and that will get you in or out, but yeah, many of those schools are reaches.

does it help though that im from tx?

A 1320 for an athelete doesnt look too shabby if you ask me.

I do hope you have more ECs to help make you stand out. It also behooves you to write real good essays to keep the reader interested (and you on their mind ;)). Also, try emailing your regional representative on finding more information on what you can do (find it at the website...under contacts for the application page I think. laxfan should know :)). You're also expressing interest in this way, and I think that helps a lot.

Good luck! I hope you join the ranks of those accepted in the Spring.
