Chances at Rutgers, UPITT, Penn State (I will chance back)

<p>-Going to be a senior next year
-Captain of a sport
-Played another sport for 4 years
-Lifeguard since beginning of junior year
-Volunteered since 8th grade teaching elderly how to use computers</p>

<p>-UW GPA : 3.15
-W GPA: 3.45 (out of 4.5)
(I have a good explanation for my subpar grades)</p>

<p>-SAT Scores - CR 590, Math 670, W 540, Total = 1800 : CR + M = 1260</p>

<p>-Have taken honors foreign language since middle school</p>

<p>-Took APUS this year</p>

<p>-Taking AP Computer Science, AP Physics, and AP Calc AB next year</p>

<li>I will likely retake the SAT in october and take the ACT in september</li>
</ul>

<p>-I am looking to major in computer science</p>

-Do you think i should apply regular decision so my first semester senior year can boost my low gpa?( i would prefer early action to most and haven't decided on ED for anything yet)

<p>GPA is kind of low for a 4.5 scale. If you can raise SAT to 2000 you should have a good shot at PSU. Right now Umass and Pitt are matches.

<p>you definitely need to get your SAT score up or try the ACT. (I took the SAT and got a 1700~, took the ACT and got a 31) </p>

<p>Your GPA is kind of low but not absolutely terrible. Try to get good grades next year and apply regular decision. Also take the ACT in september and SAT in october, you have nothing to lose. Are you a recruited athlete? What sport do you play
