Hello Everybody!
I have a pretty low gpa with a 2.95 weighted (2.92 csu gpa) and an ok SAT of 1990 (Critical Reading 680, Math 660, Writing 650). My 10th grade gpa was low but I raised it significantly in 11th grade to a 3.5 (w). I received 3s on my AP Biology, AP Art History, and AP US history tests and have around 150 ec hours. I did jv swim for my freshman and sophomore years and varsity water polo my junior and senior years. I was wondering what my chances were of getting accepted into SDSU, Cal State Chico, and sonoma state.
Thank You!
The Cal States accept by eligibility index and major. Each applicant is ranked by their EI for each major.
For SDSU, you want an EI of 4100+ to be competitive.
For Chico State, an EI of 3700+ should be good and Sonoma state around 3600+ should get you in.
EC’s are not considered for Cal State admissions, everything is based on your CSU GPA and SAT/ACT score.
You have posted so many threads about your chances. All you can do is apply broadly and accept the fact that your GPA will hinder your chances at the top Cal States.
Good Luck.
sorry just nervous I suppose, thanks for all the help!
