I was wondering what my chances of getting into my top 3, SDSU, Chico, and Cal State LA are. My CSU GPA by the end of my junior year was 3.7 (but by the end of this semester it will probably go down to 3.5). My best SAT score is 1520, math: 580, english: 480, writing: 460. My ACT no writing composite score is 24: english: 21, math: 24, reading: 24, science: 26. I want to major in Business Management.

My alternative major is Communications for media. I forgot to add Video Production and Television Production in my college apps since they aren't A-G courses. Will that affect my chances of getting in?

Cal States: Match
SDSU: Low reach/High match, better chances if you take your tests again.

My guess is just based off your scores though… your EC’s matter too! I don’t know a lot about that specific major, but if you are worried about it just send the college an email explaining the mistake. I don’t think it would make much of a difference either way.

SDSU and most of the CSU’s use the Eligibility index for acceptances. EC’s have very little impact.
Your EI based on the CSU GPA of 3.7 is 4020. Since Business Majors are so competitive at SDSU, you would need an EI of 4100+ for a good chance. For CSULA and Chico you are fine.

SDSU: Low Reach/High Match
Chico/CSULA: Match
