Chances at SDSU and CalPoly:SLO?

<p>SDSU is my safety school, but I want to know if I should have an easier safety school to get into? Also, how do I look for Cal Poly Slo? I'm applying as Mechanical Engineering to both.</p>

<p>GPA:
4.4 UC/CSU GPA
I got straight A's throughout all of highschool, aside from one B+ freshman year. Took one AP sophomore year, three APs junior year, four APs senior year, and a lot of honors classes.</p>

<p>Scores:
SAT: 590 critical reading, 670 math, 670 writing (1930 composite)
SAT (second attempt): 620 CR, 660 M, 630 W (1910 composite, did worse)
Subject Tests: Biology(630)
ACT: Getting scores in 2 days. I felt really good about it and hopefully did in the 29-32 range</p>

<p>On the application, I put that I have 11-15 hours of extracurricular activities per week.</p>

<p>Also to take note:
I am a CA resident
Hispanic
Top 3% in class of 631 students
School isn't exactly high quality</p>

<p>Got a 32 on the ACT, will my chances be a lot better now?</p>

<p>I would still keep you a definite Match at SDSU and High Match at SLO since ME is super competitive.</p>
