I’m a senior in high school and I’m from New York City. I’m applying to SDSU, UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara.
My GPA is 3.55 and my SAT score is 1790.
Reading - 630
Math - 510
Writing - 650
What do you think my chances are at getting into these schools, also considering I’m from out of state?
Thanks
BTW my eligibility index is a 4,000
SDSU, UCR - match
UCSB - low/reach
(Assuming the stated GPA is the unweighted)
SDSU/UCR: High Match
UCSB: Reach
Your GPA is below average for SDSU/UCR. SAT score and GPA is below average for UCSB.
Considering your are OOS, can you afford the costs of these schools with little to no financial aid?
SDSU will cost approximately $36K/year and the UC’s around $55K/year.
Also the UC’s and CSU’s have their own GPA calculation: http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
For OOS applicants, only AP/IB or DE courses count for the extra honors points.
