What are my chances to get into SDSU? My weighted GPA is 3.72. My ACT Composite score is 24 and my SAT score is 1660. I am taking the SAT again October 3rd. I have done Leadership and am ASB Treasurer, as well as community service.
Depends on the major but you gpa and ACT is below the average so not very good. Also SDSU doesn’t consider EC’s
SDSU like all the other Cal States except SLO, use the eligibility index to rank applicants based on major.

Then calculate your EI: (CSU GPA x 800) + (SAT Math + CR) or (CSU GPA x 200) + (ACT comp x10)
An EI of 4100+ for SAT and 1000+ for ACT puts you in good standing. Nursing applicants usually need around a 4300+.

Do Engineering applicants need a higher EI at SDSU. I already calculated my son’s EI.
An EI of 4100 should be competitive for Engineering. Much depends upon the current years applicant pool, the number of applicants and their Stats. Higher is always better.

looks like you are right on the line. I’d take another stab at the SAT. Another 100 points could make all the difference.
Be sure to apply somewhere you KNOW you can afford, will want to attend and will admit you. Perhaps CP Pomona, Long Beach or Fullerton?
