-I am currently looking into receiving a job/volunteer work/internship at a local museum to strengthen my interest in Biology
-Will have 2 vey strong teacher recommendations
-Essay will be well written and read by adults

Okay, so what are my chances of getting into:
-Uchicago
-Upenn & Columbia (Yes, I know, high reaches, but I’m going to apply anyways on the off chance I do get accepted.)
-Temple
-Fordham
-Drexel
-NYU
-Villanova
-University of New Hampshire

Don’t worry about chancing them all, anything helps!
Oh, and if there’s any other schools you would recommend for someone like me in the North East, it would be highly appreciated!

Less than 1% chance at Chicago, Penn, and Columbia. I am not familiar enough with the other schools’ admissions practices to specifically comment on your chances there.

UChicago: High reach
UPenn + Columbia: High high reach
Temple: Match
Fordham: Match
Drexel: Match
NYU: Reach
Villanova: Reach
New Hampshire: Match

Your SAT score is killing you man. I’m not too sure you’d get into Temple honors to be honest. Penn and Columbia are pretty much pipedreams with an 1810.

As harsh as this is, Chicago, UPenn, and Columbia are just not realistically possible with that GPA and those SAT scores. If you brought your SAT to 2100+, and 1330+, you would stand a realistic chance.

Yeah, definitely try and boost that SAT score.

-Uchicago - high reach
-Upenn & Columbia - high reach
-Temple - match
-Fordham - match
-Drexel - match
-NYU - low reach
-Villanova - match
-University of New Hampshire - match

This site is so driven by the Ivy League. I really have no desire to attend Ivies at all; it’s funny how most of the postings are so immersed within the fact that I’m not going to get in there, rather than the other fine schools I had on my list.

Quoted for truth. Unfortunately for you, this site IS driven by the high-achieving, self-selecting students who post here, who view HYPSM and the Ivies as the pinnacle of education. Because of this, most people here won’t know much about colleges beyond the top 25-30.
