you need a LOT MORE TO SHOW if you even want to think about getting into stanford EA...

Also kind of bad SAT scores... Need at least 2350 to get into Stanford...

Sorry!

Umm, i don't know what the hell the guy above is talking about. You have a GREAT chance, take it from me, I'm going there next year. Because you're Pakistani American you will be considered Asian American though, if you're wondering...

yeah well in my school you can only join societies and stuff in the final year which is sort of why i dont have any on my list.

put this in the chances forum.

couldnt find it,can you post a link?

Ammars, make sure to mention that your school doesn't allow you to "join societies and stuff" until the final year. A lot of schools have a section where you can explain random, extraneous stuff like that, and talk to your Guidance Counselor about incorporating that information into his/her reccommendation.

And I think you should mention those "random school competitions" for your guitar, as it shows you are playing at a higher level.

Best of luck, I'm thinking about applying SCEA also.

haha the school doesnt have guitar competitions, only concerts, for which you cant get credit since theres no certificate or anything for playing. I want my essay to be on guitars, can i do that if i dont have them mentioned on my transcript?

"Need at least 2350 to get into Stanford..."

Are you crazy go-vibe? Dude, he got a 2260 that's an awesome SAT score.

You don't need at least a 2350 to get into Stanford. As a matter of fact, most of the people accepted have below that score--get your facts straight.

I don't know where you're getting this--bad SAT scores? Surely you jest. The OP's SAT score falls within the middle 50%. About 50% of the people accepted to Stanford have bad scores--is that what you're saying? I'd recommend not advising people unless you knew what you were talking about.

lol another kid genius with crazyy accomplishments to compete with

I'm sure that you are definately in the running for Stanford so don't worry so much .. and don't listen to people who say otherwise because they are either jealous, worried about admissions competition, or just like to be mean because they have no life.
