What are my chances at stanford, harvard, duke, ucla, pepperdine, northwestern and WUSTL

Good chance at all except Stanford, Harvard and Duke where you're an average applicant so have a 10-20% chance.

you're a freaking insane applicant who will def get into duke, especially if you're black

im white...sigh....

Not saying you shouldn't try for schools such as Stanford, Harvard and Duke, but they will be very tough because of the competition. UCLA is tough because out-of-staters are few & it's highly competitive; WUSTL and NW are in the ball park, and Pepperdine looks quite good. You might also consider some alternatives where your geographical diversity will help: Georgetown, UVA, Dartmouth, BC, Cornell, Colgate, UNC, W&M, Michigan and USC (which could be a great place for you).

UCLA: Slight Reach (out of state)

youre retaking your sat?

Yea my list is almost complete reaches, I would pretty much happy at any of them Iowa states my back up bc they give full rides for nmsfs. (i havent visited duke yet tho but i heard its similar to stanford as far as atmosphere/campus? maybe...) So I'm hoping to get into one or two. I looked at usc and dont like the area...pretty campus tho

-the acceptance rate for ucla out of state is actually higher than in state
-probably retake the sats because i did good on the parts i normally do bad on and bad on the parts i normally do good on...so if i retake and test consistent with normal than my score (especially when all highest scores are added together) should go up...so why not i guess

Where'd you did that about UCLA in-state vs. OOS? Think you've got some mis-information --

UCLA: Slight reach/match

In-state would be a safe match.

UC's are much harder to get into OOS.

Her varsity teams are amazing!

I went to the UCLA tour/admissions session a couple weeks ago. The tour guide said out of state was 27% acceptance and instate closer to 25%...that doesnt mean its "easier" the applicant pools could be different
I guess my tour guide could be wrong though

I feel like UCLA should be a good match because i heard from someone who works in the admissions office that they weight Gpa higher than anything else in the application...

So I don't see why not u could get into Duke. My application was worse than urs--SATs 2210, gpa a lil higher tho 3.96 UW, and I had some extracurriculars here and there...not spectacular, but not like nothing, and Im going to Duke (Regular Decision) so I say you have a good chance, but write good essays :)

thats my least favorite sentence "work on the essays"

Your tour guide may have used other figures. In a discussion with an admissions official last year, the figure cited for OOS was 3-4% of the entire student body. Meaning that few OOS apply because the odds are so heavily weighted against them. Those accepted OOS would seem to have the highest SAT/GPA numbers possible, with some leeway given to in-state applicants on those same criteria.

Or perhaps not as many out of state apply because its expensive and gives little merit money that could be obtained at private schools of similar caliber If you find the average out of state and in state stats link it here
