Chances at Tepper

"Very impressive, but then I'm impressed with anything with "Carnegie" attached. There are no shoe-ins at the top ranked schools. The next few more years will be the peaking of the generation of boomers echo/X generation convergence and there will be some disappointed kids-but the good news is that there are a lot of schools getting a whole lot better to make college selection broader. (Hint-try a couple of the peer schools, especially the one that is home of photography."

Why don't you try the CMU's HSS-Art School? Dual major in business? The Tartan & Pulse can always appreciate experience talent.

PS: I don't believe in predicting "chances" to said school, and this post can be applied to any number of CMU prospects. I will say is to have great recs, get along with people, be focused but see the world widely."

Was this post in response to my post or something else?

theworldnnnn: Try posting the post #, rather than the entire post. The post #18, was to the OP, but I try to write my musings in general terms because they are just musings, and each particuliar person interprets differently.

I would NOT say that getting to CMU through HSS is any easier. Perhaps it is harder than the technical schools but in different terms. I am saying that the OP has other talents that can be explored to achieve his destination. Our son would like to be a designer but he knows that his artisitic skills are much further behind than his technical skills, he thus is using the technical aspects inorder to be more artistic- The de Vinci Affect.
