I'm no expert, but I'll give this a shot...

Judging by what you've said so far, I'd say you've got a good shot. A friend of mine got in on "less", though he was applying for film. But then again, NYU is one of the more selective universities, especially Tisch. Not to seem rude, but is your race/gender? Are you applying out-of- or in-state? Disregarding that junk for a minute, I'd say as long as you have a good essay/interview, you've got a good chance of getting into Tisch.

NYU admissions is RAAAAAAAAAANDOOM, so do not bank, sitting here and asking people what they think is not going to make your chances go up especially with something as subjective as art...Just understand that any art programs admissions office is unpredictable...also are you SURE all you want is photography? There is also a Studio Art major at NYU in the Steinhardt School, and there is a lot more flexibility in that program to branch out and experiment...also in that department, your classes would be in an actual studio and not a lab room...checkout the website...NYU--->academics---->Steinhardt----->Department of Art and Art Professions---->Studio Art, Undergraduate, BFA
