Please rate my chances at the Ivys, Stanford, and Duke. Thanks so much for any help you guys can give me!

let me quote myself
ur eligible- its a toss-up thats all u can hope for

Now as far as EC's u need to show an interest in an area other than sports (unless ur gonna play on a varsity team in college)

Good stats are definitely not enough to make u a shoo-in

Ok, so let me ask a few questions:

What are other good interests to show considering I only have a few months to take them up?

Could someone talk about interviews and how much I could benefit from them? Are they absolutley neccesary for top schools or are they just supplemental and rarely help anyone get in?

out of the ten schools you mentioned, you should get into 4+

Interviews are nessecery but usually don't help a lot. Just don't bomb one, and alumni interviews are fine.

You mentioned a lot of science type stuff. Can you elaborate on that, especially awards/leadership positions?

I don't really hold any concrete leadship positions, though I've always been involved. I could fudge some I'm sure, but I don't think that counts.

Any advice on what I could do in the next month or so to increase my chances? I know I have the ability to achieve, I just don't know what opportunities there are.

It's entirely possible to get shut out with that list of schools.

I know it is.
But what can I do to improve my chances?

"What are other good interests to show...?"

I hope this isn't a serious question. Just do stuff you're interested in. No interest is better than any other if you truly enjoy it.

"I could fudge some I'm sure."

Sad.

But on paper, colleges don't see whether you do it because you enjoy it or because it looks good. I play sports only because it's what I like; the other stuff not so much.

Find a safety that you can love and be happy with, then apply to the lottery schools.

Exactly bandit. Maybe 5 years ago you could count on one of those schools with your stats but not today. Just above the average SAT score at the ivies, acceptable GPA and average ECs could yield rejection at all if not accompanied by great essays and recs, if many apply from the high school, etc.
