vitamin1,
Thanks a lot for your feedback. I appreciate your help.

I ditto Blaineko's assessment. Picture you at Stanford but it may be too mellow for you. However, you should also look at UVa. With its architecture and business programs, it could be something solid for you.

collegeparent,

Texas:

Your management and internship experience, research activities, and you intent on majoring in business and/or engineering, all help your application. Again, it depends on how you present yourself. Luckily, you've had experiences outside of high school that make you unique. Thus, a candidate such as yourself, has a better chance (good to very good) at a few Ivies that prize business and/or internship experiences when it reinforces your academic choices.

I'd still say that MOST applicants will have, at best, an okay chance at the Ivies and some of the other universities, except that you are not a typical high school applicant. Again, just my humble opinion. I would not be discouraged from applying to the schools you are attracted to.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks blaineko,
You mentioned its all in how I present myself. What are some dos and donts you think I should note in my application to make it the best it can be?

I agree with vitamin1 you are a match at everywhere except Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, CIT and MIT. Those schools maybe slight reaches, with MIT and CIT a reach, but if you write a good essay and present yourself well who knows.

transferjoe,
Thanks a lot for your feedback. I appreciate your help.

Being recruited as an athlete as well at some of the reaches you designated.

bump bump bump

bump bump bump

you have a great chance at all the schools to which you are applying. you seem to be a complete applicant that has remarkable ECs and work experience to compliment top-tier scores.

make sure you write great essays, and i think you have an excellent chance at getting in to every school on your list. Good Luck.

no way on the UT Bus. honors man im sorry

I don't think the OP is arrogant. Confident, yes, but not arrogant. Any, MIT, Princeton, Yale, Stanford and Harvard are reaches in almost every case. Rice and Wharton are near reaches. UT is a safety for you since you come from Texas. Michigan is a match/safety if you apply to the college of LSA and a near reach if you apply straight to the B school (will be an option for the first time this coming fall).
