Male, white
SAT scores: Old 790M 740V = 1530, haven't taken the New yet, but writing is definitely my weakest subject and I'm going to strive for a 700 giving me a 2230.
SAT II Scores: 800 math IIC 800 Chem, I'm going to take physics and I should probably do well, 750+
GPA: gonna be around a 5.0 on a 6.0 scale, but no one gets 6.0's thats 100 in all AP classes. The highest GPA is gonna be around a 5.1-5.2.

I know my teacher recs will be exceptional because i've become very friendly with the science and math teachers. Also i've spent enough time on this board to hopefully make my essays unique.

What do you think of my chances at schools like Stanford, MIT, Ivies, UChic, Berkeley, UMich, BU, Northeastern. Right now I plan on majoring in physics and math. I've definitely excelled in science and completed all my school's science courses after soph yr, and took the AP physics B and C online.

Honestly I think I'm probably ball park for most of them, but with nothing really stand out. No national contests or big awards.

27 views, no posts. Anyone?

No one responds because if your smart enough to have accomplish all that in HS, we presume that your smart enough to know your chances! But I understand it's always nice to hear other people confirm your greatness. Your fair game at Stanford, MIT and HYP. UChic (if you spend time on the essays), Berkeley and Cornell are solid match/slight reaches, meaning your well qualified but the admissions game is just unpredictable. Although UCB might strongly consider your writing score (a 700 for an out of state-er might be a little weak). UMich, BU and Northeastern are good safeties. The rest of the Ivys are reaches but reasonable reaches.

Thanks. Sometimes looking at other posts in these forums and seeing how much everyone else seems to have, it makes what you have look pretty trite. On the positive side, its very humbling.

Stanford - reach
MIT- reach
UChic - match
Berkeley -match/slight reach(in state)
UMich - match/safety
BU - safety
Northeastern - match/safety

ok ill do one bump and then ill let it die.

I think you'll get into UChic, Berkeley, UMich, BU, Northeastern. HYP, Stanford, and MIT are reaches, but you could stand out with Baseball co-captain + leadership.
