Personal Info

My current top 3 choices are MIT, caltech, and Stanford, followed by some random ivies, NYU, Uchicago, UC Berkley, and one or two local safety schools.

Seems to me like you've got pretty good chances at your top three (relatively speaking). You've got good extracurriculars and test scores, though I find it odd that you didn't qualify for the AIME, though there are always those stupid mistakes to look out for (which destroy me on math contests, like not getting a perfect score for saying 3^6 = 181). AIME is annoying in the way that it has you answer (sum of the squares, the product, etc. of your answers). I think you have a good chance of making it this time (if you take it), so the advice I'd give to you is to double check that you write your answers correctly, but this is irrelevant.

From what I know, I think that, relative to other applicants, the order for the top three would be Stanford, MIT, Caltech, though you should take this with a grain of salt since I'm just using what I've learned about those three since I'm applying to them as well. It's mainly my gut feeling. I think they'll all like how well you've done given your circumstances, so they'll put emphasis on the potential you show.

If I knew what Berkeley's out-of-state admission rates were, I could tell you more about that. You'd definitely get in if you were in-state, though. I don't know enough about the others to give you any insight on those, though.

Your top 3 are in the who knows for anyone category but you're a strong candidate and you should get into several schools on your list.
