Chances at Tufts/BU

How accurate is princeton review in predicting match, reach and safety schools. I really want to go undergraduate for biomedial engineering and like both Tufts and BU. I am a jr. and my stats are GPA 3.98 uw, 4.3w; 6/550 rank; psat only 198 (50 in CR, 74 math, 74 writing). Will have 7 APs by grad (Calc AB, Calc BC, Chem I & II, Lit I & II); all other courses honors. If I can do well on the SAT's (2150? or better) do I have a chance of (a) getting into either of these and (b) getting any merit aid. Who gives better merit aid, does anyone know. I have a sister who will be starting college the year after me and I hate to put that burden on my parents, and I don't want a ton of loans when I graduate. Oh EC's are okay - not compared to some others I read about. What do you suggest I do over the summer to help this picture?
thank you everyone, I am brand new here and have just been reading for a few days to get the idea of things. :)

a) Yes
b) Yes
Why not apply to some reaches? Princeton review BLOWS; do not use their program at all.

Try Carnegie Mellon, MIT, and JHU as better schools. CMU actually gives pretty good grants and scholarships. You can also look at some cheaper state schools like Virginia Tech or Georgia Tech.

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to add that I probably won't get any need based financial aid, - we are just above that line where you get money and you don't. I need to find a school that will consider merit as well as academics, and as far as I know MIT, JHU do not, boy would I love either one.

Just apply. I think you might get a scholarship and over here I know kids with 100k incomes getting grants.
