<p>Hey guys.By fall I have a pretty awful GPA - 3.3. It's primarily a result of a bad first semester Freshman year of college. I'm in my second semester of college and plan on getting only A's from this point on. I'm averaging about a 3.54 hopefully 3.6 if i do maintain all A's bu the end of the fall i apply, which is this fall 2011. I am a anthropology/iranian studies major. My dream school is UCLA, however i will also be applying to UCIrvine, UCSB and UCSD. my extracurriculars are good and i plan on having an amazing personal statement when i apply this fall. So the question I guess is, do i not have a strong chance of getting into ucla? and what are the average gpa's in athro major at the other uc's?

<p>Apply as an iranian studies major. the average gpa for fall 2010 admissions was a 3.43.</p>
<p>I would apply to whichever you like more. Keep in mind that Iranian Studies is a very small program. A 3.5-3.6 should put you in a good place for either major.</p>
<p>Take Math and English by Fall.
Make sure you complete ALL pre-reqs…aslo try to get most done by fall.</p>
