Chances at UCLA?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to transfer into UCLA's econ program. I have a 3.6 GPA at the University of Maryland and a pretty solid resume.

However, I'm not a California resident and I have a minor violation on my disciplinary record. What are my chances of getting into UCLA, and if not UCLA, can anyone reccomend any other quality econ/business programs that would accept 90 credits and allow Spring '07 transfers? Thank you.

Anyone got any advice/suggestions?

You'll have very hard time getting in since your GPA is below average and an out-of-state student.

Why don't you try USC?

How does USC's econ program compare to UCLA/UMD?

Try USC Business Program. It's one of top 10 in the nation.

USC's a no go. I need a school that will take 75-90 credits for the Spring semester. Seems like every school I'm interested in only accepts Fall admits.

I'm by no means partial to CA either. I'm willing to go just about anywhere at this point, so if anyone has some other suggestions, please let me know!

Maybe I'm best off sticking it out at UMD and graduating in 3.5 years...

are you instate at UMD?

no, i'm out of state

UCLA doesn't accept spring transfers, either.

Only for engineering.
