What, no thanks? Anywho, I'll chance you ... but can you chance me too? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/538677-please-chance-me-i-d-really-really-appreciate.html.

Your grade point of 3.97 is impressive, and compounding that with several AP classes makes your application quite a bit more impressive. The fact that you're an IB diploma candidate is even better. Your SAT score is decent, putting you in the Top 5% in the US. Your SAT Subjects are fine. They' don't need retaking. Your ECs are also pretty good, and you demonstrate leadership in those clubs. Your volunteer work is also nothing to laugh at. Your honors and awards are nothing out of the ordinary -- they have almost nothing related to the academics -- I can see you're a pretty good soccer player tho.

Overall, you're a good student.

*Chances: *
UCB IOS: Match
UCLA IOS: Safety match

Have you considered other schools? If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.

Good luck, and remember to chance me too!

Next time, show more appreciation in your thread title or thread --- people may be more likely to chance you.

-ab2013

thanks.. anyone else?

UCs are within reach. good match-UCLA.

I think you switched your gpas, theres no way your UC gpa is higher than your weighted one.

UCLA - match, its not a safety match or any of that sort.
UC Berkeley - same as UCLA.

match at both. nuff said.

no.. the UC gpa doesn't include the freshman year, which I didn't do as well in.

Thanks for the chances. Keep em' coming

I got into both and had lower test scores. As long as you write really good essays you should be able to get in. - Go bears!!

Thanks everyone, anymore?

How did you get a 4.65 UC GPA? You realize that they only count a maximum of 8 semesters as weighted. However you seem safe for the colleges you are applying to.

yeah.. i realize that now. If anyone can help, in 10th and 11th grade, I've taken 15 semesters total of classes that would be counted as 5 points instead of 4. I know their is an 8 semester cutoff now.. so what would my gpa be out of 23 semesters total.
