Chances at UIUC?

<p>Hey, I've been hoping to possibly do my best to get into UPENN, but it seems kinda out of my reach seeing others scores, so I was thinking along the lines of University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign if UPENN doesnt work out. What are my chances of getting into the Business school at UIUC?</p>

<p>GPA=3.9</p>

<p>ACT=28 (first time i took it, hopefully did better this time around)</p>

<p>Rank=Top 2% of class</p>

<p>Classes= All Honors/AP Courses- (AP Courses I took/ plan on taking: AP Gov, AP Lang, AP Environmental Science, AP Calc, Possibly AP Bio/Psychology -my school doesnt offer many AP courses due to major class cuts, and there are basically no electives left to take, putting me at a disadvantage with that since there are no business electives I can take =( ..) </p>

<p>Extra-Curriculurs= I'm very involved with the organizations/clubs at my school and in my community, over 10 clubs, hold titles of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Head of Events in a Nationally Known organization, I was on a youth board group and I was a Board member of Partnerships on that board, Assistant teacher/Youth Group Member at local sunday school, Leader in Study Hall periods, Tutored math to elementary school kids, Plan to Volunteer at Local Hospital in the Business department</p>

<p>Work history= Work as a cashier since Beginning of 2010-present</p>

<p>I'm most likely going to major in accounting with a minor in math, but I dont want to rule out the option of majoring in actuarial science, so those two options are there.</p>

<p>Any tips on admission? Also, is UIUC generous in regards to their scholarships?</p>

<p>You have a great chance at UIUC. Your GPA is great, nice rank, nice work experience (most applicants don’t even have one), good E/As, and decent ACT scores. UIUC is a public school, so I cannot guarantee that it will be very generous for scholarships compared to private universities. But seriously, if your application stands well-above the average compared to the applicant pool, I’m sure UIUC will offer you scholarship.</p>

<p>thanks! do you know any ranges of scholarships they give out to applicants? i dont think uiuc would be a school to give out any full ride scholarships to applicants seeing how the economy is going, especially since illinois schools are in a financial crisi.</p>
