Chances at UIUC?

Hi, I'm a senior getting ready to apply to college.
I'm applying for the University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
My cumulative unweighted GPA is a 3.15 right now, and a 28 on my ACT. I'm also Asian haha so that doesn't help that much at all. I've done my fair share of activities outside of school and i'm also wondering what Major I should apply for to get in the easiest? I've heard agricultural and education, but I was originally going into General Studies. Help?

Lower-than-average chances at around 40-50%. Really make those essays shine.

As long as its a non-impacted major in arts & sciences school, you will have a “better” chance than, say, applying to S of Engineering.

Is the fact that i’m doing priority admissions help at all? and I go to a small private school that has about 100 kids per class, and over the past 10 years only 4 kids have attended this school, does this benefit me?

Priority will certainly help. Try to ED or EA if UIUC offers it.

That depends. How many people applied? If like 10-20 kids applied and 4 got in, that’s not good for you (means UIUC is picky with your school). If like 5-6 kids applied, then it’ll work to your advantage.

9 People applied and they accepted 7 of them!

That’s good for you then. UIUC isn’t so picky. But your biggest problem is your GPA and ACT. BRING THOSE SCORES UP IF YOU CAN. A 31+ will DEFINITELY improve your chances by A LOT.
