Chances of U of I(Champaign) Acceptance?

So I'm a junior in high school, but i keep stressing out over colleges.

I was wondering what my chance of getting accepted to University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana are?

My ACT: 30 (with a 34 in math)
I didn't take the SAT.
Class Rank: Top 10% (like literally the 10th %)
GPA: (weighted) 5.13 out of a 5 scale.
I'm not sure how to calculate that on a unweighted 4 point level scale :(
I've been in yearbook, a volunteer organization, the math team, the pep club, and Spanish club all throughout high school and was accepted into Spanish Honor Society.
i didn't take any internships or jobs.
I took all honors except for English, and have taken a few AP classes. I got mostly A's with a few B's in history an math.

I plan to either be an engineer or accountant. In the math range.

Also, any advice or other colleges in IL that you think I might be intersted in, would be great.

Thanks

I would say you have a very good chance. U of I urbana isn’t the most selective.

Unweighted gpa: a=4 b=3 c=2 d=1 …

4+4+4+4+4+4+4/7= uw gpa = 4

You certainly have a good chance but it depends strongly on the college you apply to. The overall statistics for admission are not a good guide for the College of Engineering, where the admission rate is significantly lower. The business school is also a bit harder to get into than some of the other colleges. Since UIUC is a state school, they have an obligation to take students from all over the state so in the past (not sure whether they still do it) they used a combination of ACT/SAT scores and class rank as a rough metric. This ensured that they take students from all high schools in the state, not just the ones with the highest performing students. This was the case when i applied there (many years ago) and when S1 applied in the late 1990’s.

As for other colleges in Illinois which have Engineering

Public

University of Illinois, Chicago
Northern Illinois University
Southern Illinois University
Western Illinois university - general engineering only

Private

Northwestern University
Illinois Institute of Technology
Bradley University

I am sure I have missed some but these are the ones which immediately come to mind. In addition, there are articulation agreements between other schools (for example, Illinois State University, Loyola University, and many community colleges) for engineering with UIUC, UIC and IIT. Those students either take the first two years and then transfer into engineering or get two degrees, one from each university.

If Engineering, chances are slim.
If applying to a liberal arts major, you have a better shot.
It would help to know if you are in-state or OOS.
