Hi im a high school junior and have just started looking at colleges. I was hoping to go to a competitive school and i have been really interested in UVA, UNC, BC, Tufts and a lot of other schools. Okay, well first of all, what do you intend on studying?

I’ve been leaning towards studying business or just going undeclared freshman year, but I’ve also heard of people just applying to the easiest schools to get into and then transferring out freshman year.

Top schools love direction; direction shows potential.
Show that more in your EC’s. If you want to go into business then get involved with you FBLA, and then advance in it. Consider starting your own business. Find an internship!
Your EC’s are lacking a bit as of right now, is all. That doesn’t mean you can’t turn that around. You have this entire summer and first semester senior year to do something that will add a little something extra to your application.

Consider attempting to raise your scores a bit. I got into UNC OOS with similar scores, but I presented myself very well in my essays.
