Chances at UNC, UVA?

Im gonna be a senior this year, and UNC and UVA are two of my top choices for schools, and also likely the two I will be least likely to get in to because I am out of state. Here are my stats:

SAT: 2010 (~1360 on the old SAT)
GPA: 3.6 unweighted (I have a few AP/Honors credits)

Extra Curriculars: Member of National Honor Society, plenty of work/volunteer experience, captain and mvp of varsity track team, all county honors and 2nd team all state honors track as a junior.

I know both of those schools are considered reach schools for me since I am out of state, but I just wanted to hear people's opinions who have applied/been accepted/rejected at those schools, thanks a lot :)

Have you taken any SATIIs? As you said UVA and UNC are reaches.

I will be really frank. I don't think you can get in. Both schools are hard to get in as a out-of-stater. They are all big reaches.

I looked briefly at both those schools, but they're very very hard to get in out of state. Hopefully for you, you're lucky enough to live in Michigan, Texas, California, or Pennsylvania if you are looking for state schools.

Try to get recruited for track. Email the coaches at both schools and send them your times.
