Approximately what unweighted Grade point average do you need to get into UNC-Chapel Hill if you are a resident of North Carolina as well as Chapel Hill..

about 4.0 weighted gpa

how do u get ure weighted gpa
?

if mine is 3.6 unweighted what is it weighted?

Yes but UNC looks at unweighted as well...

wat do u think it is??

something around 3.2

weighted gpa depends on the hardness of the classes u took in hs..
it is used to determine class rank here...

the question is:
what unweighted gpa do u need???

What are the chances in this situation?

1300sh SAT
3.2sh Unweighted
4.0sh Weighted
70sh/480sh Class Rank

Many Clubs
Many volunteer hours

Good AP exam scores (4s and 5s)
National AP Scholar Award

Local Student

in your "many" clubs, do u have leadership positions or are they a bunch of cruddy clubs?

Leadership in 3
One of which is president..

If you think you know an estimate of what STATS i need to get into UNC-Chapel Hill if i am a local, please tell me!!!

I think you could get in. raise that unweighted GPA, dang. or a higher SAT. An SAT in the 1400s would be really nice.

My school uses seven point scale

93-100 A
85-92 B
77-84 C
70-76 D
0-75 F

most of my grades are As.. but i had two bad grades early on which dragged it down...

by the way,

SAT IIs

Math IIC - 790
Biology - 670
Math IC - 740
Chemistry - 750
Physics - 730
US History - 720

And 8 AP Exams

my cousin got into UNC Chapel Hill (he was in-state also). He had a 4.0 (although I am not sure if taht is unweighted) and his SATs were in the high 1100s, low 1200s. So it depends more on your GPA, and the fact that you're in=state will help a lot.

I heard UNC-CH is obsessed with class rank

I'm not sure what his class rank was (as I'm sure you can tell we're not that close) lol. But, I would say you have a good chance.

me:
1320 SAT
Weighted GPA: 4.1
unweighted: 3.7
class rank 110/615
debate team president
community outreach vice-pres
Leo club director and (I hope tresurer, good chance though)
Math team
semi-finalist at a national NFL debate qulifiyer
Some AP's will have 7 by end of senior year
about everything esle is honors
my chances?

In-state = In
Out-state =

UNC accepts almost all top 10% students
Get your SAT up a bit as well

Are there other in-state ppl that can comment on my stats?

Not locke's

I think you have a pretty good chance, your stats are about the same as mine and you are in state, me I am out so its a reach.
