Hey I'm an in state student and I have a 3.3 Unweighted and about a 3.73 weighted. For my SAT's my best regular score was a 1990 and as a superscore it was 2010 (I took it twice).

Math - 700
Writing - 670
Critical Reading - 640

I generally took all honors courses except for math and I've taken 2 AP courses. I was wondering what do you guys think my chances are at the fall semester and if not, then at the spring semester?
Personally I think I had a decent shot at fall and a really really good chance if not that then getting in spring. I realize my GPA is on the lower side but I've been told my SAT's would keep me competitive. I was wondering what others opinions are though?

oh and i forgot to mention i go to Winston Churchill high School if anyone has heard of it.
It’s supposed to be like a nationally recognized school or something, basically it’s really competitive and since we’re in state a lot of kids go to UMD from there so apparently that makes it harder to get in.

I don’t think you should sweat it. I’d recheck your GPA though, because all honors should boost it above a 3.7 weighted. Just in case though, work to get your grades up a little. Your SAT is above their average. They say their average GPA is a 3.9, but I’m a bit skeptical about that, especially since I know two people with 2.7’s who got in. It’s an awesome school though, ranked in the top 20 for like 15 different majors. If it’s your number one, and you’re absolutely sure you want to go there and are STILL concerned about getting in, you can try early decision, which I think would give you a near perfect chance of being accepted. As it stands, you’re still a very good candidate.
