Well, that doesn't make me feel very optimistic.

no i didn't apply really early. i think it was around the middle of feb.

Last year, a few of my classmates got their acceptance letters around the April 15th date. Most of them applied on the the deadline. I got my "waiting list" letter on April 30th.

Hey, what's with the AccessUVA letters? I didn't get one.

Anyone here sign up for the Summer Language Institute this summer? If so, what language?

sooo i'm assuming if we dont hear back by the 15th of April or around there..then we can expect a waitlisting/rejection decision...awww that sucks...:(

Wahoo wrote on page 5 of this thread...

"I got it in letter form (they didn't change the website unitl April 30). From what I could tell, they sent the letters out in two waves, one mailed around April 15 (only acceptances) and one mailed April 30 (good & bad letters)."

So I wouldn't worry too much.

wmrocks,

Acceptance letters will probably go out first, followed by the dreaded waitlist/rejections. Since there was a 2 week extention of the app deadline, timeline will probably later than 4/15. I'm expecting late April early May.

Good luck!

oh really...I didn't know that UVA had extended their deadline...interesting.

News to me too!

stumper, in the past that hasn't been the case. Like I said, last year the first wave was only acceptances but the second wave had acceptances also.

wahoo, I don't doubt that, hence the word "probably." It was a SWAG, scientific average weighted guess, based upon personal experience.

Katt,

Yeah, I found out about the extention AFTER I submitted my app on the deadline.

does anyone know of anyone who got into uva senior year, but didnt go, and then applied to transfer and didnt get in?
i'm sorta worried because i really want to go to uva for fall of 05 but i didnt really attempt to buff up my app a lot since i got in last year so i assumed i'd automatically get in this year. i've gotta 3.75 at tufts u. but not a lot of other extra-curricular stuff cause my school doesnt offer anything im interested in. whatcha think my chances are? (im in state too w/good high school stuff)

I'm sure since yer a first year (i'm assuming) that you're highschool credentials will help you out alot....also the level of your college classes/etc.
