Been worrying about this lately. I intend to go for premed, but this is subject to change. I am going to be a senior this fall. My cumulative GPA is a 3.35 at the moment, which admittedly is pretty terrible before weighting, due to my dumbass self slacking off freshman and sophomore year. However, my GPA has steadily risen from a 2.8 (2nd semester freshman year), to a 3.75 throughout my Junior year (also had my most rigorous courseload this year, will admissions notice this?). My grading scale is, as far as I know, unique as well, with an 85% being around a high C, low C+. An A is a 96-99%, and an A+ is 100%+. I have no idea if these schools will weigh this any differently (if this is unique at all, it is for my county AFAIK but that is it).In terms of course load, I have no idea if honor classes count, but I have taken Honors British Literature, Honors American Literature, APUSH, and will be taking AP Bio and AP English next year. Besides that, for sports and such I've done 1yr CC, going to be 3yrs of Soccer, 1yr Knowledge Bowl, 2yr Model U.N., and Possibly 1yr Mock Trial. I will be doing an internship out in California this summer for 8 weeks as well. I could potentially have 2-4 letters of recommendation.
Sorry for the wall of text, apologies in advance for the bad formatting. If there is any additional info that would be useful just post a message and I'll respond ASAP

SAT score?
Santa Clara accepts about half of its applicants and you could have a chance there; USC is probably a less viable option but you never know!

32 on the ACT, got a 198 on the PSAT, didn’t really try on it though. Taking the SAT wouldn’t be a problem though.

EDIT: And I’m not really sure the PSAT even comes close the the difficulty of the SAT, but from what I’ve heard, the ACT>SAT in terms of difficulty. However, that is purely anecdotal.

You should be able to get into SCU with a 32 ACT.
The PSAT is the same format as the SAT, though they do vary (I got an 80 on CR for the PSAT, but only a 660 on the SAT; the other sections were fairly close though).

I’d say the ACT is only difficult because of timing. The ACT questions are a lot more straightforward, especially on the reading section. Math is easier on the SAT in terms of difficulty level.

Some people do really well on the ACT and bomb the SAT, for others it’s the opposite. I would try taking some practice tests.
