Chances at USC, UNC-CH, Cornell ILR, NYU....

Hi, I would like to transfer to a better business program next fall (Junior Transfer). I'm currently attending a decent NY state school (SUNY) and have a 3.6 GPA. I did poorly my first semester due to family issues (separation of parents), but received a 3.8 and 4.0 in the proceeding semesters. I also received direct admission into my current university's b-school, so many of my courses match up with school's prerequisites/recommended courses. I have had multiple internships. My most recent was with a small firm in Manhattan, we set up conferences for individuals interested in the high frequency trading industry. I am a member of a business club and the club lacrosse team. I attend a couple community service/fund raising events each year (Not that much).

I will be submitting 3 letters of recommendation
-Accounting professor (105 average in class, top 1%)
-Sociology professor (will speak about my writing ability/no full year english offered at my university so he will give them some insight)
-Employer (my influence and performance at his company/how I mentored new interns).

I am applying to:
USC (*Legacy at USC's Marshall School of Business, not a huge donor)
UNC Chapel hill
NYU CAS (I don't think I have a chance at Stern)
Cornell ILR
Tufts
Lehigh
Tulane
University of Washington

Does legacy have any pull for transfers?
Will my first semester grades hurt my chances?

Please let me know what you guys think

does anyone know my chances at these schools?

Ill be on a similar boat. I finished my first semester with a 3.81 and after my second semester I want to apply to chapel hill. So bump.

thanks for the input. can anyone else chance me

bump *****

Do you happen to attend SUNY Binghamton’s School of Management?

Nope. Business program is neck and neck with Binghamton’s though. I don’t really want to mention what school I go to on here, but I’m sure you can figure it out.
